+ My clients aren’t on LinkedIn / It won’t work for my business.

(1) While I can see LinkedIn being highly effective for some types of businesses that are B2B, I am not sure if it will work for B2C type businesses. I just don’t think it rates highly in the decision-making process of my target market.

(2) Most people who want to connect with me are those wanting to sell me stuff – generally people who are LinkedIn and SEO ‘experts’.

+ I don’t have the time. I’m already juggling other priorities. I’m busy. I just don’t have time to invest in this program.

20 mins a day is all you need, plus 5 x 1 hour blocks to go through the 3 modules and the Q&A session. Of course if you want faster results, you can dedicate 30 minutes or more a day. Once you’ve developed your own outreach and messaging system, a $20/hr virtual assistant can certainly help with some the grunt work of outreach and responding to enquiries. Just don’t outsource the ‘relationship’ side of LinkedIn to someone else.

+ Will I need to know some complicated or expensive tech to successfully use LinkedIn?

My thinking is that there will be a considerable investment of time, up front, plus I may have to invest in an expensive LinkedIn sales navigator subscription to succeed on LinkedIn.

My proven system is a very low-tech approach and can be used on the free version of LinkedIn. If you can message on LinkedIn, write an email and book calls you are already equipped with all the skills you require!

My recommendation is NOT to invest in LinkedIn Sales navigator until you are getting results from the free version of LinkedIn. You can’t drive a Formula 1 car if you don’t know how to drive! LinkedIn sales navigator is like a Formula 1 car.
